A new Twitter is available that provides updates about NASA Langley Research Center. It’s “NASA_Langley” and is so new that as of this post, nothing had been tweeted yet … so now’s your chance to get in on the ground floor! Check it out at Langley.

  • Another Twitter tweets Yuri’s Night Hampton Roads 2009. Yuri’s Night will be held April 4 at the Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton, Va. Check out the YNHR Twitter at
  • Update on Apollo Fortieth on Facebook: 468 friends and counting. Check it out.

Yuri’s Night will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight. Join us for a night of space-age music, costumes, bars, VIP lounge, observation deck, and wildness at a most intriguing venue.

What is Yuri’s Night? It is one day when all the world can come together and celebrate the power and beauty of space and what it means for each of us. Yuri’s Night is like the St Patrick’s Day or Cinco de Mayo for space, to quote the Yuri’s Night web site. It’s named after Yuri Gagarin, the first human to go into space on April 12, 1961. The U.S. space shuttle first launched on April 12, 1981.
